Anusaranga is a dynamic combination of Ashtanga and Hatha alignment. Using Ujjayi breathing and Bandha (body lock) you will be guided into different asanas, achieving core strength for more open and strong postures like arm balance, hip opening, back bending and inversions.
Ujjayi breathing is the core of the practice, each asana will be held for 3 breaths, leading to a feeling of energy flowing through your body.
At the end of the practice you shall experience a sense of lightness and peace of mind.
About Fon:
Sawaddee kaa, hello! My name is Fon and I am a Thai Yoga Teacher. For most of my adult life I’ve worked with stray animals in various charities in South East Asia. I started practicing yoga looking for some positive way to deal with the emotional burden that my work used to lay on me. The regular practice of yoga allowed me to find a better balance, in my personal and professional life.
In more recent years I have decided to take this passion to the next level and started the path to become a Registered Yoga Teacher.
I have studied Anusaranga Yoga with Kru Dutchi, in Northern Thailand, and started practicing Ujjayi breathing, mindfulness meditation and bandhas.
My hope is to be able to share with others what I’ve learnt (and I’m still learning): Yoga has given a lot to me, and I’d like to give something back to others.
I am very new to Eastbourne and look forward to meeting you at the Yoga Life Studio!
