Slow, Nourishing Yoga for all with Claire Kushala

Every Thursday 7.30pm – 8.45pm

Weaving together simple yoga postures and movement, breathwork, chanting and deep relaxation, this class is open to absolutely everyone!

Each session is crafted to meet your unique needs, meeting you where you are in order to bring nourishment and ease to body, mind and heart.

Please wear comfortable layers and bring a water bottle. Everything else you need will be provided but feel free to bring along your own mat, favourite blanket and cushion.

My classes are suitable for all levels, including beginners so if you have never tried yoga before, you are very welcome!

If you have a medical condition or recent injury, please contact Claire in advance so that she can ensure the class is adapted to your needs.

Exchange: Advance booking £9 (bookable on Ticket Tailor), Drop in £10 (cash or Paypal)

No-one should be excluded from the benefits of Yoga due to their financial circumstances. If you are unemployed or on a low income please get in touch with me to agree an affordable exchange.

 

An introduction to Claire:

I have been practicing yoga since 2012 and completed the Yoga Alliance RYS 200 hour teacher training in 2016. Then, in 2018 I was called to train to facilitate Yoga Nidra and I continue to deepen my knowledge through experiential courses in Pranayama and Yoga for Women.

For me, the practice of yoga goes far beyond the physical postures. With lived experience of how a range of yogic practices can support mental and emotional wellbeing, I have a passion for the transformative effects of the combination of movement-based yoga, yoga nidra (the yoga of sleep), restorative yoga, breathwork, mudra (gestures) and mantra (song).

My partner Allan Santipãlo and I formed Beautiful Bhakti in January 2024 and now hold monthly Kirtan evenings at The Yoga Life Studio. Here we lead devotional songs to honour the ancient Hindu deities. This is a powerfully healing and nourishing practice that I weave into my yoga classes as well.

I would be honoured to welcome you to “Slow, Nourishing Yoga for All” from 7:30-8:45pm on Thursdays and also to our monthly Kirtan evenings.
